Dr Karen Jenkins is a skin cancer specialist GP with a Masters Degree in Skin Cancer Medicine and extensive experience in the diagnosis, surgical and non-surgical management of skin cancers.
Dr Jenkins has long experience in managing patients at high risk of skin cancer including melanoma and has worked as a skin cancer specialist in Ballina and Canberra for over 15 years.
She has advanced skills in the surgical management of more complicated skin cancers. She is referred to widely from other doctors to perform more complex skin cancer surgeries on the face, or surgery requiring a graft and flap. She performs around 3-5 grafts per week. Approximately 90% of her surgery is removal of cancers from the face. If you are a GP, please reach out if you would like to discuss a patient prior to referral.

Dr Rachel Liang is a highly experienced specialised skin cancer GP who loves her work and helping her patients. She is passionate about skin cancer diagnosis and surgery and has been working solely in this field for over a decade.
Dr Rachel Liang is a holistic and empathetic practitioner who is committed to achieving excellent outcomes for her patients. She has many years of surgical experience and has undertaken extensive surgical training from leading plastic surgeon Dr Alastair Taylor.

Skin Cancer Specialist GP

Dr Chi So specialises in skin cancer diagnosis and management. He believes in an empathetic and caring approach to his consultations and procedures and can perform full body skin checks, mole and spot checks, dermoscopy, skin cancer surveillance, skin cancer excisions, biopsies, and minor procedures.
He completed the requirements for a Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2017. He went on to complete a Master in Medicine (Skin Cancer) and a Master of Public Health. He has published research papers in international journals exploring the field of skin cancer management in Australian primary care.
